As the Executive Director of Global Compliance Monitoring and Remediation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring proactive oversight, execution of compliance intentions, and effective risk mitigation on a global scale. Your responsibilities encompass developing and implementing monitoring strategies, overseeing monitoring infrastructure and resources for our Compliance and Ethics program globally, as well as governing and overseeing the remediation process to support compliance accountability. Key Responsibilities

Lead a global team of professionals accountable for monitoring and testing around healthcare compliance, enterprise risk, third-party risk management, and AI initiatives.

Develop and implement advanced monitoring strategies to identify potential regulatory and ethical risks globally, including those associated with AI technologies.

Analyze data trends to provide timely insights that drive proactive decision-making and risk mitigation.

Design and maintain robust early warning systems to identify and flag potential compliance risks, collaborating with BMS IT to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.

Coordinate with Compliance & Ethics (C&E) market leads to develop and execute transactional and live monitoring, as well as corresponding testing activities.

Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring and testing plans in partnership with C&E market compliance leads, including specific plans for AI-related activities.

Lead the design and dissemination of C&E templates, checklists, and guidance documents to drive consistency in monitoring and testing approaches.

Oversee tracking, reporting, and analysis of monitoring and testing results for both C&E-led activities and enterprise risk-related monitoring.

Provide actionable risk insights to C&E leadership and market leads, supporting risk reporting and decision-making.

Support resource management in partnership with country leads and the C&E leadership team.

Ensure thorough documentation and tracking of findings and remediation activities, with a focus on addressing root causes and implementing preventive measures.

Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into business processes, including those involving AI and digital innovation.

Facilitate communication and knowledge-sharing to enhance overall regulatory compliance awareness and culture.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Requires deep expertise in healthcare compliance monitoring and remediation, audit, enterprise risk management and third party risk management, typically gained through at least 15 years of experience in related roles.

Risk Monitoring: Possess a deep understanding of risk monitoring principles, frameworks, and methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in the context of monitoring and testing.

Data and Analytics - Experience with data analytics tool & platforms used in global compliance monitoring.

Process Design and Operational Excellence: Demonstrate expertise in designing and optimizing processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and scalability for global monitoring in the areas of healthcare compliance risk, enterprise risk and third party risk.
- Communications: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex risk assessment concepts to diverse audiences.

Executive Presence / Influence: Exhibit strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, driving alignment and support for risk assessment initiatives.

Experience with leading global teams and or initiatives.

Compensation Overview:
$276,170 - $334,647
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
