Job Purpose

Responsible for handling service connectivity troubleshooting between OSS and EMS and between different modules of OSS ecosystem, implement network automation & work within OpenStack environments.

Responsible for managing the backend administration for OSS ecosystem, this includes managing services, monitoring system performance, maintaining optimal uptime, ensuring security compliance, and supporting automation initiatives.
Job Responsibilities

OSS & NBI Operations: Manage, configure, and maintain OSS modules, ensuring optimal integration and performance with diverse vendor EMS platforms.Troubleshoot OSS–EMS communication issues, ensuring stable network connectivity and timely resolution of faults.Monitor OSS system health, logs, alarms, and service status to ensure smooth operations.

ACL Implementation & Network Troubleshooting: ACL implementation for the OSS cluster, that includes but not restricted to, the configuration of network interfaces, routing tables, and firewall policies to facilitate secure and efficient communication between OSS and EMS systems..Use diagnostic tools (ping, traceroute, tcpdump, log analysis) to isolate and resolve connectivity issues.Develop and maintain network automation workflows for configuration management, device onboarding, and backups using Python, Ansible etc.

OSS Systems Administration: Install, configure, secure, and maintain CentOS & SUSE Linux OS supporting OSS.Perform OS hardening, kernel patching, and security updates to maintain compliance and minimize vulnerabilities.Manage essential system services, daemons, and startup configurations relevant to OSS operations.Install, configure, secure, and maintain windows server OS.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor CPU, memory, storage, and filesystem utilization; tune OS and OSS parameters for maximum efficiency.Utilize monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus to set proactive alerts and respond to incidents.

Security & Vulnerability Management:Conduct regular vulnerability scanning, analysis, remediation and fixation.Implement cybersecurity best practices to safeguard OSS and OS platforms against threats.

Automation & Scripting: Automate recurring administration tasks and workflows using shell scripts, Python, and orchestration tools.Schedule backups, cleanups, and reports using cron or equivalent job schedulers.

Administration & Documentation:Maintain secure FTP/SFTP services for OSS data exchange.Manage user authentication, permissions, and directory structures for OSS and EMS integrations. o Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, integrations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.Contribute to capacity planning and infrastructure growth strategies.
Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:

Bachelor’s or above Degree in Telecom / Computer Science or Information Technology is required.

4-5 year of relevant experience is required.

Deep understanding of telecom network technologies, architectures, and connectivity, with a focus on OSS-EMS integration

Handson administration of Linux/Unix systems (CentOS, SUSE Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and Windows Server OS, including configuration, hardening & patching.

Skilled in network configuration and troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, tcpdump etc. ) and automation frameworks.

Proficiency with monitoring tools ( Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) to ensure proactive system health management and performance tuning

Extensive hands-on experience in 24/7/365 operations environments & managing high-availability systems.
