Job Role / Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Security Manager, you will act as Team leader/supervisor for all guards in your area of responsibility and ensure that the staff carries out their duties effectively. You can be assigned as Close Protection Escort to the senior leadership and guests of AKU other than routine escort duties. You will also be responsible for assessing likely security threats to the person being escorted and initiating the necessary security measures. You will also perform other routine security duties at the AKU campuses as, when and where assigned by the Manager Security.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Provide close protection to the senior leadership of AKU, their family members and guests of AKU when assigned.
• Remain abreast with the schedule of movement of the senior leadership or the person assigned with and keep the Manager Security operation informed about the same.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of the movement / program of senior leadership or person you are assigned with.
• Report to Security Control/DSC/Manager any incident/threat related to the senior leadership, family members and guests of the AKU, who you have been assigned with.
• Promptly report any incident, fire, accident and / or theft to the Control supervisor on while deployed on duty anywhere on campus.
• Exercise vigilance and see that no unauthorized person enters the area of responsibility or to the person you are assigned with.
• Keep the Control Supervisor informed of all security matters within the area of responsibility.
• Perform regular supervisory duties when assigned by Security Control/DSC/Manager Security.
• Assist Security Guards in public dealing and when assistance is sought by them.
• Assist and escort Police and Law Enforcement personnel with in AKU premises when asked to do so by the DSC / Control Supervisor
• Ensure that his weapon is in working condition and will ensure proper maintenance of the same.
• Ensure safety of the senior leadership of AKU, their family members guests of AKU and fellow guards
• Escort employees and students outside AKU on required basis.
• Perform long hours of duty on special occasions if and when assigned.
• Perform any other Tasks assigned by Control Supervisor/DSC/ Manager Security.

Requirements:

• S.S.C or Matric pass in any discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a trained soldier/combatant in the Pakistan Armed Forces, at the level of Non-Commissioned Officer.
• Must have Experience and service with SSG. Service with Intelligence units would be preferred.
• Efficiency in handling small arms i.e. Rifles and Pistols.
• Efficiency in unarmed combat, self-defense and restraining techniques.
• Efficiency in handling communication equipment i.e. Wireless sets & Telephones.
• Ability to drive will be preferred.
• Must be able to read and write Urdu fluently.
• Should be able to understand English language. Ability to converse in English will be an added advantage.
• Must be Medical Category "AYE" (Fit in all respects).
• Proficient in customer / public dealing and management of aggressive behavior.
• Proficient in communication, investigation and report writing skills.
