Executive Housekeeper | Full-time Position Available

Job Summary: The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards, safety regulations, and company policies. This position provides daily leadership, direction, and supervision to the housekeeping team to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency. The Executive Housekeeper is an effective communicator with excellent organizational and time management skills. They motivate and inspire team members while continuously enhancing guest service standards and the overall aesthetics of the property. This position consistently monitors cleaning programs, amenities, and service levels to maintain a competitive edge within the industry. The Executive Housekeeper develops and implements departmental training initiatives, incentive programs, and operational processes to drive performance and engagement. Additionally, this leader coaches, counsels, and disciplines team members in a fair, consistent, and professional manner. They ensure systems are in place to effectively respond to guest requests and promptly resolve guest concerns. As a role model, the Executive Housekeeper leads by example, fostering the Ayres culture of caring, accountability, and excellence throughout the department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values, Mission Statement, and Ayres Way.
  • Follow company policies as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
  • Supervises, manages and controls the quality and quantity of all linens and terry.
  • Coach, counsel and discipline staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Reward team members for exemplary performance
  • Address deficiencies in quality or quantity of work
  • Review staff scheduling to ensure proper staff coverage while managing labor cost.
  • Discuss staffing with agency team member providers as needed.
  • Oversee outside vendors who are contracted for specific tasks, verify quality and addressing any deficiencies. Purchase necessary supplies and products only from approved vendors.
  • Ensure completion of linen inventories on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with preparing and managing the Housekeeping budget, including: Labor, Supplies, Annual recommendations for capital improvements and operating budgets, Understand and stay within the budgetary percentage guidelines for labor and other expenses
  • Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and staff members in reviewing and discussing overall hotel operations, property status, department projects, operations successes and deficiencies.
