  • Time and attendance tracking: Monitor and accurately record employee work hours and attendance, which includes managing leave requests and maintaining employee records.
  • Payroll support: Compile and process payroll data by ensuring accurate recording of new hires, terminations, and other changes related to time worked.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute HR reports to management regarding employee attendance, tardiness, and productivity.
  • HR administrative support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, which can include managing employee personnel files and databases.
  • Employee support: Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to their time and attendance.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage a large volume of data and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HR/payroll software: Knowledge of HR information systems and payroll processing is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills: Must be able to answer questions from staff and management clearly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of labor laws: Understanding of regulations regarding working hours, leave, and other employment matters is required.
