ACWA is seeking an experienced and commercially driven
Executive Manager – Commercial
to lead the market and commercial strategy for our Green Power Export Initiative.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for identifying and prioritizing viable cross-border renewable electricity export opportunities, defining commercialization pathways, and structuring large-scale power sales across regional and international markets. You will play a pivotal role in positioning ACWA as a competitive and credible supplier of renewable electricity globally.
Role Overview
The Executive Manager – Commercial will provide strategic leadership across market assessment, commercial structuring, pricing strategy, and negotiation of long-term power supply agreements.
Working closely with Business Development, GEOs, and senior leadership, you will shape commercially robust propositions aligned with regulatory frameworks, national mandates, and ACWA’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Assessment & Competitive Intelligence

Lead comprehensive market assessments and monitor regulatory, policy, and competitive developments

Define and drive the commercial roadmap for Power Export from KSA

Prioritize high-value international markets and define entry strategies

Lead product pricing strategy and support PPA negotiations
Strategic Market Studies & Executive Advisory

Conduct in-depth commercial and strategic market analyses

Deliver executive briefings and recommendations to ACWA’s leadership team

Shape long-term commercial positioning in global energy markets
Commercial Structuring & Negotiation Leadership

Lead origination, negotiation, and execution of cross-border power supply agreements

Manage full negotiation cycles across diverse regulatory and market environments

Deliver Letters of Intent, MoUs, and large-scale long-term PPAs

Ensure optimal risk allocation and sustainable value creation
Transmission & Energy Market Expertise

Apply strong understanding of renewable energy, oil & gas, and power generation markets

Evaluate transmission business models and partnership structures
-
Assess commercial viability of cross-border infrastructure initiatives
Stakeholder & Government Engagement

Develop long-term partnerships with governments, regulators, utilities, and strategic off-takers

Represent ACWA at executive and ministerial levels across Europe, the Arab region, and international markets

Embed power export priorities within bilateral agreements and regulatory frameworks
Required Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field. (Master’s Degree or MBA would be an advantage).

10–15 years of commercial or marketing experience within the energy sector.

Background in IPPs, energy trading, TSOs, utilities, or large infrastructure organizations preferred.

Proven track record leading complex, multi-country commercial negotiations

Strong commercial acumen and pricing strategy capability.

Analytical, commercially astute, and capability to manage complex negotiations while building long-term strategic partnerships.

Solid understanding of energy value chains and regulatory frameworks

Knowledge of technical, legal, and project finance fundamentals.

Fluency in English and Arabic.

Advanced presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to operate effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
