About the Role:
The Executive Manager – Digital SME Banking Products will lead the end-to-end development, enhancement and digitization of SME-focused financial products. While digital credit and lending remain a core component of the role, the incumbent will also oversee a wider portfolio of SME offerings including savings, payments, cash-flow solutions, merchant services and value-added digital tools.
This role will work closely with Business, Technology, Credit, Risk, Compliance and Operations to design scalable, innovative and customer-centric SME solutions
Key Responsibilities
SME Digital Product Strategy

Develop and refine the SME product roadmap across product lines (digital supply chain financing solutions, credit access, merchant financing, savings, account, etc.).

Identify needs of SMEs, micro-enterprises, merchants and other segments using market insights and customer data.

Benchmark SME offerings across the industry and region to identify gaps and opportunities.

Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks, risk appetite and the bank’s digital strategy.
Digital Lending & Credit Innovations
Design and digitize end-to-end SME and lending journeys (Origination to Disbursement and Collections, Merchant integration).

Digitize and optimize lending products end-to-end for SME customers (working capital, term loans, invoice financing, merchant credit, etc.).

Support creation of new digital credit offerings such as supply chain finance, embedded lending, and platform-based financing.

Collaborate with Credit and Risk to design automated rules, scorecards and underwriting logic.

Enable integrations with LOS/LMS, CBS, credit bureaus, alternative data sources, and payment systems (including Raast).
End-to-End Product Development

Lead the complete digital product lifecycle from concept to launch across segments.

Translate product vision into PRDs, business requirements, user flows and customer journeys.

Design frictionless digital journeys across mobile app, internet banking, partner portals, and merchant interfaces.

Work with engineering team to ensure platform readiness, system integration and timely delivery.

Maintain a structured product backlog and lead sprint planning, reviews, and deployment coordination.

Drive bundled value propositions including payments, payroll solutions, QR acceptance, and partner integrations.

Enable embedded finance through partnerships with fintechs, aggregators and marketplaces.

Enhance customer stickiness and lifetime value through ecosystem strategy.
Regulatory & Governance Alignment

Ensure product structures comply with SBP regulations and internal credit policies.

Coordinate with Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit for necessary approvals.

Embed responsible lending principles and consumer protection safeguards within product design.

Maintain updated documentation for regulatory reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
-
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Business, Finance or a related field.

Certifications in product management, UX, digital banking or credit risk are a plus.
Experience
-
7+ years in SME digital banking, product development, lending systems or fintech.

Hands-on experience with LOS/LMS, scoring engines, APIs, bureau integrations and digital KYC.

Strong understanding of retail/SME lending workflows, underwriting, and risk assessment.

Ability to write BRDs, PRDs and credit logic documentation.

Experience in user journey design and digital optimization.

Strong analytical skills for funnel monitoring and portfolio evaluation.
