Executive Manager - Financial Control

We are seeking an experienced Executive Manager – Financial Control to lead our financial control function and safeguard the integrity of our financial operations.

This is a strategic leadership role suited for an experienced Chartered Accountant with deep IFRS knowledge, strong treasury exposure, and proven experience in large corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Lead financial control, accounting policies, and IFRS compliance across the organization

🔹 Oversee monthly close and consolidation of Project and Holding entities

🔹 Prepare Board, Committee, and Shareholder reports

🔹 Manage lender coordination and ensure compliance with financing agreements and covenants

🔹 Coordinate quarterly and annual statutory and contractual filings

🔹 Oversee treasury activities including debt servicing, cash flow projections, dividend payments, and fund movements

🔹 Manage hedging and un-hedged exposure

🔹 Ensure UAE VAT compliance, timely filings, and resolution of FTA queries

🔹 Coordinate internal and external audits

🔹 Review project performance against budgets and identify value-adding opportunities (including refinancing)

🔹 Provide oversight on funding requirements and related accounting

🔹 Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best-in-class financial controls

🔹 Lead, mentor, and develop a team (3 direct reports; 10–12 total team members)

Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) preferred.
• 10–12 years of finance experience, preferably within the utilities sector
• Minimum 5 years in a Financial Controller or similar senior role within a large organization
• Experience in a head office finance function or listed company environment is desirable
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
• Hands-on ERP experience (Oracle or SAP is essential)
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is an advantage
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Experience managing lenders, covenant compliance, and structured financing arrangements
