Overview
Responsible for executing end‑to‑end ocean export operations, ensuring timely documentation, shipment management, customer coordination, and KPI compliance while supporting pricing and business growth initiatives .
Responsibilities
-
Manage freehand, nomination, and locally sold ocean export accounts, ensuring end-to-end shipment execution as per customer and company SOPs.

Coordinate closely with Pricing / Ocean Manager for timely and accurate RFQ submissions and provide competitive quotations/rates to intercompany and customers.

Handle carrier and vendor relationships, including shipping lines, NVOCCs, CHAs, transporters, shippers, and overseas partners, to ensure smooth operations and service continuity.

Take ownership of booking placement, SI filing (INTTRA/carrier portals), AMS & ISF submissions, and ensure all filings are completed within prescribed cut-offs.

Manage HBL and MBL processes, including draft preparation, customer confirmation, debit note coordination, payment follow-ups, and timely release with applicable free time.

Track shipments proactively, ensure milestones are updated in the system, identify deviations from schedules, and coordinate recovery plans with carriers, cartage agents, and international partners.

Ensure accurate and timely billing, adherence to mandatory CW fields, and achievement of defined KPIs in line with company guidelines.

Send pre-alerts to destination offices, ensuring complete and accurate documentation for seamless handover and downstream execution.

Partner with local sales teams to support customer communication, resolve operational issues, conduct carrier/customer business reviews, and contribute to business growth initiatives.

Ensure strict compliance with customer SOPs, internal policies, and AIT operational KPIs, while supporting additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Other Skills We Hope To See

Graduate degree or equivalent qualification.
-
2–5 years of freight forwarding experience preferred, with exposure to ocean operations.
-
Strong basic math and geography skills, with the ability to analyze numerical data, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions.

Working knowledge of DG/GDP requirements; CargoWise proficiency preferred (Basic Cargo knowledge an advantage).
-
Sound understanding, or ability to quickly learn, ocean freight movement, vendors, container types, equipment, Incoterms, regulatory requirements, pricing, service routings, and shipment profitability.

Basic knowledge of country regulations and AIT policies/procedures, with a focus on risk mitigation for customers and the company.

Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently in one‑on‑one settings.

Strong time‑management skills to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
