Job Purpose:
The Executive Project Engineer will lead and manage engineering activities for a range of marine projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and specifications, while driving project success from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and implement engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, commercial, and HSQE, to facilitate seamless project execution

Develop and review seafastening designs, ensuring cargo is securely restrained in accordance with project requirements and marine standards

Perform stability calculation for vessels and barges, verifying compliance with intact and damaged stability criteria

Conduct motion analyses to evaluate dynamic loads, accelerations, and their effects on cargo integrity and seafastening arrangements

Support transport engineering and load-out/offload operations, ensuring safe execution and structural integrity under varying sea conditions

Prepare and review engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for marine projects

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to support project development

Maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date

Lead project meetings, providing status updates and managing stakeholder expectations

Ensure adherence to engineering best practices and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting professional development within the team

Participate in site inspections and audits as required
Joint Accountabilities:

Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure optimal project outcomes

Ensure timely and accurate invoicing in coordination with Finance Department
Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the marine industry, specifically in project engineering roles

Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices

Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and other relevant engineering software

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
