Site Coordination & Execution
- Oversee and manage all joinery and fit-out works on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks, resolving any conflicts that may arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks, identifying and rectifying any defects or non-conformances promptly.
- Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, including progress updates, material tracking, and manpower allocation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Interpret architectural and shop drawings, providing technical guidance to the site team and resolving any design discrepancies.
- Manage and monitor the joinery and fit-out budget, controlling costs and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Supervise and mentor site staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
- Review and approve material submittals, ensuring they meet project requirements and are delivered on time.
- Attend project meetings, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and contributing to effective project communication.
- Oversee the on-site installation of joinery works including doors, cabinetry, wall panelling, wardrobes, counters, and other bespoke elements.
- Coordinate with workshop teams to ensure timely delivery of manufactured components to site.
- Interpret and implement technical drawings and specifications on-site.
- Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions for accurate installation.
Project Supervision
- Monitor site progress to ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
- Identify and resolve site issues related to joinery work, liaising with designers, consultants, and subcontractors as required.
- Maintain up-to-date site documentation including daily reports, progress updates, and quality checklists.
Quality Assurance
- Inspect joinery installations to ensure they meet company standards and client specifications.
- Report and rectify any defects or non-conformities identified during installation.
- Ensure that finishing standards are maintained consistently across all installed items.
Client & Consultant Interaction
- Act as the site representative for the joinery scope of work during inspections, meetings, and walkthroughs.
- Coordinate with main contractors, architects, and consultants for approvals and inspections.
- Ensure that client requirements and changes are properly communicated and executed.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
- Conduct site safety assessments and ensure safety measures are in place during joinery works.
- Report and investigate any incidents or near-misses.
Team & Resource Management
- Supervise and coordinate site teams including installers, carpenters, and subcontractors.
- Ensure adequate manpower, tools, and materials are available to meet project demands.
- Provide technical guidance to site operatives and junior engineers.
