Executive - Quality Control

Position Summary:

Quality Control Executive plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and compliance standards of both finished goods (FG) and raw materials within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that all incoming raw materials and finished products undergo thorough testing, analysis, and documentation in accordance with approved specifications and regulatory requirements prior to their release for production or distribution. Role involves executing timely and accurate laboratory testing, generating detailed analytical reports, maintaining precise documentation, and facilitating the on-time release of finished goods and raw materials. Routine verification, calibration, and maintenance of Quality Control instruments and equipment are essential duties to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing of Finished Goods in accordance with approved specifications to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Conduct testing of Raw Materials as per approved specifications to verify quality before use.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports using SAP, maintaining adherence to good documentation practices.
  • Prepare and appropriately label vials of working standards for use in quality control testing.
  • Perform daily filtration of purified water to maintain laboratory standards.
  • Organize and maintain records of approved Raw Material reports in designated files, ensuring periodic updates and proper documentation.
  • Assist in analyzing and interpreting quality control data to identify opportunities for process and operational improvements.
  • Support senior team members in various QC-related activities including data analysis, documentation, and process compliance.


Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or a relevant scientific field.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Quality Control testing within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of analytical concepts and sound knowledge across various branches of chemistry.
  • Hands-on experience with sophisticated analytical instruments such as HPLC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FTIR, and other related equipment.
  • Familiarity with Quality Control principles, analytical methodologies, and standard laboratory practices.
  • Awareness and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), documentation standards, and audit processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report generation, and maintaining accurate laboratory records.
  • Ability to troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and carry out routine maintenance and calibration.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems for documentation and reporting is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
