Executive Quality Control - Packaging

Position Summary:

Executive – Quality Control (Packaging) is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of packaging materials used in pharmaceutical products. This role involves performing physical and chemical testing of packaging materials within defined timelines to support the timely release of products. The incumbent will strictly follow cGMP guidelines, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements while executing all testing activities. The position requires accurate documentation and reporting, including preparation of analytical reports in SAP and maintenance of raw data logbooks with full traceability in accordance with GMP standards. The role also includes reviewing procedures before initiating new tasks, evaluating and categorizing packaging-related complaints, and ensuring that all testing and reporting activities align with pharmacopeial standards and internal quality systems. Additionally, the Executive will contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance of packaging materials and support continuous improvement in quality control processes. Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical QC practices, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks within strict timelines are essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and chemical analysis of packaging materials within defined timelines as per cGMP
  • Ensure timely release of packaging materials in line with company lead times
  • Review SOPs and guidelines before initiating new tasks
  • Evaluate and differentiate the nature of complaints related to packaging
  • Prepare analytical reports in SAP and maintain complete raw data logbooks with traceability
  • Maintain all records in compliance with GMP standards
  • Make decisions for routine testing samples


Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharm-D), or a related field from an HEC-recognized/accredited university.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control, specifically in the packaging section within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures, packaging standards, and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and documentation protocols.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain compliance with quality standards.
