River Valley Services (RVS), part of the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Secretary (PCN 133196) to support our CEO Office in Middletown.
This pivotal position provides confidential administrative support to the CEO and two Clinical Directors, while coordinating administrative workflow and operational needs across multiple RVS locations.
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday
- Shift: First Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Location: 351 Silver Street, Middletown, CT
- Key role ensuring seamless administrative operations across a busy behavioral health setting
In this role, you will be an essential partner to our leadership team, helping ensure smooth daily operations and consistent administrative coordination across multiple clinical sites. This work requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Below are some of the core responsibilities you will take on:
- Coordinating front desk and administrative workflow to ensure continuous coverage across three busy waiting areas
- Participating in administrative staff selection, onboarding, and daily task coordination
- Preparing for Joint Commission Accreditation through policy coordination, documentation management, scheduling, incident reporting, and credentialing support
- Managing executive correspondence and maintaining accurate records for leadership and advisory groups
- Coordinating large-scale meetings, conferences, and multi-site communication
- Taking accurate and detailed dictation and transcribing complex or technical information

River Valley Services (RVS), a community mental health center serving Middlesex County and the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme, is operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).
