Executive / Senior Executive - Pricing- Freight forwarding

Roles & Responsibilites.

· Provide day-to-day pricing to the sales team and/or directly to the customers.

· Ensure timely retrieval, quotation and filing of rates for internal and external customers and timely handling of bid/tender completion deadlines.

· Working with sales staff to clearly understand the approach to the customer and the requirements of the opportunity to properly price.

· Coordinate understanding of operational requirements, company capabilities and costing through operations staff.

· Securing market rates through internal data or at times external carrier feedback.

· Good reporting and analytical skills, including carrying out weekly and monthly reporting on trade

Key responsibilities

· Maintain and provide day-to-day pricing to the sales team and/or directly to the customers.

· Send all Freight rate inquiries to designated Steam Ship Liners (SSL)

· Send all Freight rate inquiries to Carrier for Air Shipment.

· Compare the given rates from various SSL based on Schedule Online from every SSL and prove the best rate to concerned person/company who has requested.

· Receive and Maintain rate sheets every month as per the Service Contact with SSL and strategically plan and participate in service contract negotiations

· Share Rate Sheet with Sales team and Management.

· Follow-ups and timely feedback from Sales team and customers to understand their needs on shipment.

· Request for Extensions / Validations on quoted rates from SSL

· Handle all LCL shipments with sales team and Co-Loaders

· Ensure timely retrieval, quotation, negotiation and filing of rates for internal and external customers and timely handling of bid/tender completion deadlines.

· Working with sales team to clearly understand the approach to the customer and the requirements of the opportunity to match their requirements and fulfill their targeted rates or requirements.

· Coordinate understanding of operational requirements, company capabilities and costing through operations staff.

· Securing market rates through internal data or at times external carrier feedback.

· Scrutinize tender documents and be aware of changes in the market as well as complete and analyze tender documents.

Desired Profile

· Bachelor’s Degree

· 5 to 7 years of related work experience

· A strong candidate for this position would demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, customer service, diplomacy, and dependability.
