The Executive – Supply Chain will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, logistics, and distribution. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive efficiency, reduce costs, and align supply chain initiatives with overall business goals. The position involves leading a team of supply chain professionals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a supply chain strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Oversee procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
Logistics & Distribution
- Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure on-time delivery.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance service quality and cost control.
Production Planning & Management
- Coordinate with production teams for effective scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Monitor performance and implement corrective measures where required.
Risk & Compliance
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Budget & Performance Management
- Manage the supply chain budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Track and report on KPIs, including cost savings, service levels, and lead times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to align supply chain operations with business needs.
- Support new product and service development by ensuring supply chain readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in procurement, logistics, production planning, and inventory management.
- Proven track record in developing and executing supply chain strategies.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
