This role demands a seasoned executive with reflective leadership experience—someone who brings a thoughtful, data-informed, and strategic lens to enterprise-level decision-making, informed by a history of executive roles in complex, matrixed healthcare organizations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight and executive leadership across multi-state clinical operations, ensuring alignment with corporate vision, mission, and long-term growth objectives.
- Lead SVPs leading facility CEOs and operational leaders to develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans focused on clinical quality, patient experience, margin improvement, and market expansion.
- Evaluate and reflect on operational trends across the enterprise to guide forward-looking strategy and course-correct when necessary to meet performance benchmarks.
- Guide the development and implementation of transformational initiatives in collaboration with peers across finance, clinical operations, human resources, and strategy.
- Continuously assess and improve performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactively report insights and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Provide executive-level reflection and mentorship to other leaders, supporting a culture of continuous learning, performance excellence, and leadership development.
- Champion enterprise-level policies that drive consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all facilities and divisions.
- Oversee capital project planning and execution for areas of responsibility, ensuring alignment with long-term business priorities.
- Lead organizational design and workforce planning efforts, including succession planning and talent strategy, in partnership with Human Resources.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, inclusiveness, and innovation, while modeling and reinforcing organizational values and leadership competencies.
- Serve as a visible and respected leader across the organization—building trust with physician partners, clinical leaders, staff, and board-level stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive executive-level leadership experience in healthcare operations, including multi-site hospital or health system leadership.
- Proven success in EVP, SVP, or similar C-suite roles, with demonstrated ability to influence across a large, complex organization.
- Deep experience in strategic planning, operational execution, financial stewardship, and transformational change within a healthcare environment.
- Strong record of reflective leadership, including development and coaching of senior executives and leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to foster high-performing cultures and lead organizations through growth, integration, or turnaround scenarios.
- Executive presence and communication skills necessary to influence internal and external stakeholders, including board members, investors, and physician leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage organizational complexity with agility, foresight, and humility.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Willingness to travel nationally, as needed.
