We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented bilingual Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our vibrant pediatric dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Perform chairside assisting with skills such as taking high-quality dental imaging, and applying aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
- Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of safety.
- Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and assisting with front desk responsibilities as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding to accurately document procedures and facilitate seamless communication within the team.
Requirements
- Valid Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification or equivalent licensure.
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside support, X-ray procedures, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental for managing dental records and documentation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
