Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker and cake decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a love for creating delicious baked goods. This role involves preparing a variety of baked items, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Requirements

Position is full-time with the opportunity to pick up additional hours at our Pleasant Hill location..

Must be available to work all Fridays and Saturdays. Shifts start at 4 AM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of cupcakes, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed meticulously during food preparation and handling.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to meet customer specifications.
• Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items that align with customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking special orders, and addressing inquiries regarding baked goods.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
• Proficient in culinary techniques related to baking, including pastry preparation and cake decorating.
• Experience in food handling and production within a kitchen environment.
• Creativity in developing new recipes or enhancing existing ones for improved taste or presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of baking.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within a busy kitchen setting.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
