Our coffee shop is hiring a friendly, detail-oriented cashier/barista who has excellent customer service skills, is self driven and can work in a fast paced environnment. You must be passionate about coffee, food, community and customer service with coffee/barista experience.

Cashier/Barista responsibilities include assisting customers by answering their questions and ringing in their order using a POS system, stocking and packaging bakery items, preparing food items like bagels and avocado toast, preparing coffee and other hot and cold beverages according to our standards and recipes, stocking supplies, as well as assisting in cleaning and maintaining the shop. The ideal candidate must be self motivated, driven to succeed, organized and willing to work within a team. Our employees are expected to possess excellent customer service and communication skills as well as be able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and serving techniques
• Proficiency in operating POS systems, including Aloha and Micros
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Understanding of food safety and handling practices
• Basic math skills for cash register operations and sales transactions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
