Experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager
Full-Time | In-Office
About Us
Prosperent Co is a CPA model firm providing Personal CFO services for high-net-worth business owners. We're a fast-paced, tech-savvy, paperless office, and we keep things simple.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper to be the Accounting Manager for our growing firm — handling the ongoing bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll for our clients, overseeing our outsourced bookkeeping teams, and taking on a growing role in tax preparation. This is a client-facing role — you'll interact with clients regularly, answer their questions, and help educate them on their numbers. Timely closings are critical: all client books must be closed by the 10th of each month. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, consistency, and meeting deadlines matter most.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and manage the chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Post and categorize bank feeds, credit card transactions, and manual entries (daily/weekly)
- Perform monthly account reconciliations for bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Close all client books by the 10th of each month — timely closings are critical to this role
- Manage clients' payroll — processing, recording, and ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage and oversee outsourced bookkeeping teams — assigning work, reviewing output, and ensuring quality and timeliness
- Work directly and frequently with clients — answering questions, gathering information, and helping educate them on their numbers
- Flag uncategorized, duplicate, or unusual transactions for review
- Keep clean, audit-ready books with supporting documentation
- Prepare and deliver timely accounting reports
- Prepare tax return data, complete workpapers, and draft returns for review
- Coordinate with the Tax Manager to keep bookkeeping aligned with tax planning
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business required
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
- CPA preferred
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience with a strong focus on QuickBooks Online

- Ability to meet firm deadlines, including monthly close by the 10th
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable in a tech-forward, paperless environment
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to meet deadlines
