Experienced Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in both home and community settings. This role requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.

We need caregivers in Paradise and Magalia for various shifts throughout the day.

Weekend caregivers in Chico.

Commonly needed shifts 8am - 5pm, 3pm to 9pm, 9am to 3pm, and 3pm to 12 am.

Short stacked shifts - Milage between clients.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Provide direct support in a home or community setting, fostering independence and promoting social interaction.
• Monitor patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in recreational activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
• Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable professional caregiving experience - NO IHSS
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs minimum
• Knowledge of home community care practices is a plus.
• Certification in CPR is required, but we can help you obtain this.
• Previous experience in hospice care or patient monitoring is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
