Experienced Caregiver Needed – Providence Metropolitan area

Fantastic Sitters is seeking a dedicated, reliable caregiver to serve families in the Providence Metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a flexible schedule who is eager to maximize their hours.

About the Position:

We have variable demand in this area, with work available most weeks. Caregivers who are proactive and responsive typically secure 3–4 days per week, with opportunities to work more during busier periods. Hours can vary week to week based on family needs. Caregivers who regularly check the app and respond quickly tend to secure the most consistent hours, and get first priority. This role is perfect for a caregiver who is responsive, motivated, and ready to build strong relationships with multiple families.

Most assignments occur Monday–Friday with start times between 7–9 a.m. and end times between 4–7 p.m. Occasional weekend opportunities are available for those interested. Ideal candidates will have broad availability Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

Jobs are posted as they come in through our app, sometimes as early as 5–6 a.m. for same-day needs.

Ideal Candidate:

Actively checks their notifications for new assignments throughout the day

Responds quickly to job postings

Eager to maximize their hours and build relationships with multiple families

Treats this as their primary employment, not occasional side work

Comfortable with commuting to where care is needed (willing to drive up to 40 minutes)

Experience caring for children 6 months and older

Professional and passionate about childcare

Minimum Requirements:

18 years or older by start date

High school diploma or equivalent

2 years of verifiable childcare experience

3 professional childcare references (not friends or family)

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Personal vehicle and valid driver's license

CPR and First Aid certified for children/infants (or willing to obtain)

Willing to undergo an extensive background check

Available for a 1-year commitment

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Able to comfortably get on and off the floor for play and caregiving activities

We're specifically looking for a caregiver who wants to work as much as possible and will actively claim available assignments. This role is best suited for caregivers seeking regular weekly hours, rather than occasional or sporadic work.
