Experienced Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
• Utilize 3D scanners for capturing precise dental impressions.
• Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical coding when necessary.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and office inventory as required.

Experience

• Must have experience working as a dental assistant.
• Previous experience in a dental clinic is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
• Familiarity with Epic software is a plus for managing patient records efficiently.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and practices is essential for maintaining a safe environment.
• Experience with assisting in various dental procedures will be beneficial for this role.
