Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including Cosmetic and general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
  • Take high-quality X-rays and operate advanced medical imaging tools such as 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
  • Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records, verifying insurance information, and scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist.
  • Record vital signs and assist in monitoring patient comfort throughout procedures while adhering to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
  • Support the dental team with chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation including medical coding, dental terminology, and detailed notes within OPEN DENTAL for seamless record keeping.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with proficiency in chairside assisting and medical imaging.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice..
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiar with ITERO scanning

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
