Duties
Dentrix Ascend experience is required
- Verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and follow up on reimbursements using systems Dentrix ascend
- Reviewing treatment plans with patients in clear, easy-to-understand terms
- Explaining procedures, sequencing, benefits, and alternatives to improve case acceptance
- Presenting fees and payment options, including financing plans and in-office policies
- Verifying insurance benefits and explaining estimated coverage and patient responsibility
- Obtaining pre-authorizations and tracking insurance approvals when needed
- Coordinating treatment scheduling based on clinical priority, provider availability, and patient needs
- Answering patient questions and addressing concerns or objections professionally
- Following up on unscheduled or pending treatment to improve completion rates
- Communicating with the clinical team to ensure accuracy and consistency of treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation in the dental software (notes, estimates, consents)
- Supporting a positive patient experience through professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dental treatment coordinator (at least 2 years) or in a similar dental office management role with a focus on treatment planning and patient communication.
- Strong knowledge of dental office software Dentrix Ascend
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic experience environment.
