Experienced Django Developer (Remote Position -8 Yrs Exp Required)

Join ECOM Specialist LLC, a leading IBM & SAP Business Partner headquartered in Dallas, USA. We're seeking a skilled Django Developer to join our team. This is a remote position requiring collaboration with both US and Pakistan-based colleagues, with working hours from 6:30 pm to 3:30 am Pakistan Standard Time.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Django Developer with at least 8+ years of professional development experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in architecting, building, and optimizing large-scale, data-intensive applications. This is a hands-on role requiring advanced problem-solving skills, strong database optimization expertise, and the ability to work on highly complex business logic.

To succeed in this role, you must dedicate your full attention to ECOM and refrain from engaging in other employment. We uphold this requirement to ensure your focus remains dedicated to our projects.

You MUST pass a test to be considered for any of these open positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Django-based applications.
• Design and implement multi-tenant application architectures.
• Write and optimize very complex SQL queries involving joins across tens of tables.
• Develop and maintain complex stored procedures for mission-critical applications.
• Handle large datasets (tens of millions of records) with performance tuning and efficient indexing.
• Perform solution optimization to improve application speed, stability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end, DevOps, product owners) to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and version control.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve critical issues in a timely manner.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership where required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in Django/Python development.
• Strong expertise in multi-tenant system design and implementation.
• Proven ability to write and optimize complex queries, joins, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Deep knowledge of database indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of scalability, high availability, and load balancing.
• Experience in solution optimization and refactoring legacy code for better performance.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, integration patterns, and microservices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery).
• Familiarity with asynchronous processing in Django/DRF.
• Experience with data warehousing, reporting, and analytics systems.
• Prior experience in leading a team or mentoring developers.
• Understanding of security best practices (authentication, authorization, data protection).
