Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various carpentry tasks, including trim and frame carpentry, and possess the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes in residential and commercial projects, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Execute trim carpentry, including installation of moldings, baseboards, and window casings.
- Perform frame carpentry tasks such as constructing walls, roofs, and other structural elements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate project execution.
- Engage in concrete forming, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and siding installation as needed.
- Conduct cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation with precision.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Participate in restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and heavy lifting as required.
- Assist with flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing work, masonry tasks, and electrical installations when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools are properly stored after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in construction estimating and understanding of construction processes.
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques and fabrication methods.
- Experience in the restoration industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy materials regularly and work on construction sites safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of CNC machinery operation is a plus.
- Previous maintenance person experience is beneficial for versatile project handling.
