The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the creative bridge between our clients' visions and our technical execution. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and craftsmen to design stunning and functional spaces that exceed expectations. This is a hands-on position for someone who loves seeing their designs come to life through the remodeling process.

Key Responsibilities:

* **Client Collaboration:** Conduct initial consultations to understand client needs, preferences, and budget. Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and material selections.
* **Technical Design & Documentation:** Create detailed and accurate construction drawings using CAD software. Your drawings will be the critical blueprint for our production team.
* **Specification Books:** Develop comprehensive specification books and finish schedules that outline all materials, fixtures, furnishings, and finishes for each project.
* **Material Sourcing & Selection:** Source and select all interior materials, including flooring, tile, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, lighting, and hardware.
* **Project Management Support:** Work collaboratively with the Project Manager to ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the construction phase. Address and resolve design-related issues as they arise on-site.
* **Code & Compliance:** Ensure all design plans adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and best practices.
* **Vendor Relations:** Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, showrooms, and trade partners.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

• A minimum of 3 years of professional interior design experience, preferably within the residential remodeling or custom home building industry
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software** is a non-negotiable requirement. (Please specify if you use a specific program, e.g., AutoCAD, Chief Architect, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in creating detailed specification books and construction documentation.**
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and interior building codes.
• Excellent spatial planning and problem-solving skills. A keen eye for color, texture, and detail with a versatile design aesthetic.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
• A degree or diploma in Interior Design is preferred.
