Experienced IV Technician ( 5 YRS EXP REQUIRED)

We are a fast-paced specialty outpatient clinic focused on delivering high-quality patient care in a professional, team-oriented environment. We are seeking a highly experienced, dependable, and skilled IV Technician to join our clinical team.

Position Summary

The IV Technician will be responsible for the insertion, maintenance, monitoring, and removal of intravenous linesfor patients undergoing outpatient procedures and surgeries. This role requires excellent venipuncture skills, strong EMR documentation ability, multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Insert peripheral IV lines efficiently and accurately with high success rates
• Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and discontinue IV lines safely
• Prepare patients for outpatient procedures and surgeries
• Accurately document IV starts, patient responses, vitals, and clinical notes in EMR systems
• Maintain timely and proficient electronic charting throughout the day
• Monitor patients during pre-op and recovery phases as directed
• Follow sterile technique and infection control protocols
• Assist clinical staff with patient flow and room readiness
• Multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Identify difficult sticks and use proper techniques confidently
• Ensure supplies are stocked and treatment areas remain organized
• Respond professionally and calmly in urgent situations

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of CURRENT hands-on IV insertion experience required
• IV Certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Strong EMR documentation and charting skills required
• Experience in outpatient surgery center, pain management, infusion center, ER, or hospital preferred
• Strong success rate with difficult IV starts
• Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure
• Professional demeanor and excellent bedside manner
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced specialty clinic

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
