Gardener/ Landscaper

We are looking for experienced landscapers to join our 2026 team!

A Small Green Space specializes in urban garden design, installation and maintenance of outdoor, residential city spaces based in Jersey City, NJ. Our landscapers are an essential part of the team at A Small Green Space. Our landscapers will be responsible for assisting at residential gardens in and around Jersey City, NJ. The position will provide the opportunity to build urban landscaping expertise and horticultural knowledge.

Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintaining multiple gardens on a recurring basis
• Communicating closely with the office
• Providing assistance where needed for a variety of landscaping tasks
• Maintaining proper care and maintenance of company tools and vehicle

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in landscape maintenance required
• Willingness to work in a variety of settings and weather
• Driver's license preferred but not required
• Physical fitness and willingness to perform heavy physical labor is a must
