Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing infrastructure across various commercial projects. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to undertake heavy lifting are essential. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering high-quality service, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial settings, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installations or repairs.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems and implement effective solutions.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using basic math skills for precise fitting.
- Assist with assembly of plumbing components and related structures as required.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain a clean work environment and document completed tasks for client records.
Experience
- Proven experience as a plumber in a commercial or industrial setting is essential.
- Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications is preferred.
- Demonstrable ability with hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry skills.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the capacity to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively in physically demanding environments.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is desirable but not mandatory for all roles.
