Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, including front loader, rear loader, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers with manual transmissions.
• Load, unload, and secure waste containers using mechanical knowledge of truck systems and attachments.
• Drive heavy-duty trucks across various routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after shifts to ensure optimal functioning and compliance.
• Assist with maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and mechanical components to prevent breakdowns.
• Load and unload materials manually or with equipment while practicing proper lifting techniques to ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers in a commercial setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of truck systems and attachments used in waste hauling operations.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy vehicle operation.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during loading and unloading processes.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation and waste management procedures.
