Experienced Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to read fabrication blueprints effectively. As a Welder/Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that all components meet quality standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and read blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
• Utilize various welding techniques including FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW for metal fabrication.
• Operate power tools and machinery safely, including plasma cutters, oxy fuel torches, cranes, punches, drills, and grinders to shape and assemble metal components.
• Utilize a forklift and tractor to load and unload materials.
• Conduct machining tasks to ensure precise dimensions of fabricated parts.
• Use basic math skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Utilize a paint sprayer to paint steel.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with proficiency in FCAW/GMAW Required (AWS Certification in FCAW - highly recommended).
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment including regular maintenance.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience using hoists for lifting heavy materials is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Must be willing and able to lift 100 lbs.
• Must be willing and able perform a weld test on site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
