Experiential Graphic Designer

About Pace GFX

Pace GFX is a full-service design, print, fabrication, and installation firm specializing in branded environments and experiential graphics. We partner with corporate, hospitality, education, healthcare, and museum clients to transform physical spaces into powerful brand experiences. From concept through installation, we bring stories to life at scale.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Designer with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in brand expression and environmental graphic design. This role is ideal for someone who understands how brands translate from idea to physical space — and can think in terms of scale, materials, fabrication methods, and installation realities.

Alongside our Design Director and talented team of creatives, you’ll help craft visually bespoke experiences for a variety of top-tier clients. From deck design to branding to experiential spaces, you’ll support our studio team from inception through final production on projects concepts that are not only compelling — but buildable.

Key Responsibilities Brand & Environmental Design

  • Translate brand standards into immersive, three-dimensional built environments.
  • Design large-format wall graphics, dimensional signage, donor walls, exhibits, wayfinding systems, and experiential installations.
  • Develop cohesive visual systems that work across architecture, interior surfaces, and structural elements.

Concept Development

  • Present creative concepts through mood boards, renderings, and mockups.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal design reviews.
  • Balance creativity with functionality, budget, and fabrication constraints.
  • Develop custom vector illustrations, diagrams, and infographics.
  • Create scaled visualizations that help clients understand spatial impact.

Technical Documentation

  • Produce accurate production-ready artwork and installation documentation.
  • Create detailed shop drawings, elevations, scaled layouts, and fabrication files.
  • Prepare files for large-format printing, CNC cutting, routing, and specialty fabrication.
  • Illustrate architectural elements and translate floorplans into graphic layouts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with fabrication and installation teams to ensure design feasibility.
  • Review proofs, color samples, and material mockups.
  • Maintain consistency across multi-location or phased rollouts.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional graphic and experiential design work (agency, in-house, or environmental design firm).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand expression in physical or built environments.
  • Proven experience designing for large-format print and dimensional signage.
  • Advanced proficiency in:
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)
  • Vector-based illustration
  • 3D experience is a nice to have
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Scale and spatial design
  • Production file setup
  • Material and fabrication considerations
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

What Success Looks Like

  • Designs that are not just beautiful — but buildable.
  • Clear documentation that minimizes production errors.
  • Creative solutions that elevate client brands in physical space.
  • Strong collaboration across design, production, and installation teams.

If you’re passionate about transforming environments through brand-driven design — and you understand how to think beyond the screen — we’d love to see your portfolio.

To Apply: Submit resume, portfolio (required), and brief cover letter explaining your experience in environmental or experiential design. This position is 100% in-person. Successful candidates will be located in the Dallas, Texas area.
