Expert Accountant

Job Summary

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information
• Summarises current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
• Prepares VAT & relevant tax returns
• Secures financial information by completing database backups
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential

Education & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• High comfort level with working within a small finance/operations team. A strong desire to refine, build, & create successful financial systems.
• 1-2 years of professional accounting experience required
• Experience within a marketing agency or service-based business preferred
• Experience with financial accounting, managerial accounting, ledger management, bookkeeping, invoicing, and IFRS accounting standards
• Experience using Quickbooks, Tally, or other business accounting software. Expert Excel capabilities.
