Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose surgical patients and decide on treatment plans.
- Perform complex or specialized surgeries within the relevant specialty.
- Oversee pre-operative planning, operative procedures, and post-operative recovery.
- Lead or support multidisciplinary case discussions and coordinate with anesthesia, nursing, and allied teams.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and surgical staff.
- Maintain patient safety, quality standards, and clinical documentation.
Requirements
- Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification, often Western Board/CCT or comparable.
- Several years of post-specialist or consultant experience.
- Strong expertise in the relevant surgical specialty, such as general, vascular, trauma, or cardiothoracic surgery.
- Good standing license and ability to meet local licensing requirements.
- Experience working in high-volume or tertiary-care hospitals is often preferred.
Pay: QAR350.00 - QAR600.00 per hour
