What is Expert Core Wallet?

Role Overview

·         The Expert Core Wallet will be responsible for leading design, implementation, integration, and optimization initiatives related to the Huawei Wallet Core platform used in JazzCash's financial ecosystem. The role demands hands-on experience with Huawei's Mobile Money Platform, financial transaction processing, system performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration with planning, engineering, backend, and digital product teams.

·         This position plays a critical role in ensuring robustness, scalability, security, and operational efficiency of JazzCash's wallet capabilities.

What does Expert Core Wallet do? 

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead end-to-end technical ownership of Huawei Wallet Core modules and integrations.

·         Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and system tuning for Huawei Core Wallet.

·         Manage integration with internal and external financial systems including billing, payments, switching, merchant platforms, and digital services

·         Work with Huawei technical teams to resolve incidents, manage upgrades, and deploy new features.

·         Act as the primary technical liaison with Huawei and other technology vendors, managing relationships, service level agreements, and delivery milestones.

·         Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards related to mobile wallets

·         Support QA, UAT, and production rollout activities for new releases

·         Troubleshoot complex issues involving transaction failures, latency, concurrency, or platform stability

·         Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides

·         Support disaster recovery planning, execution, and readiness

·         Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams on automation, monitoring, and observability improvements

·         Provide expert-level technical support for high-priority incidents (P1/P2)

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Core Wallet?

Required Skills & Experience

·         5-8 years of relevant experience in financial services, mobile money, payments platforms, or telecom IT systems

·         Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Huawei Core Wallet platform
Strong understanding of:
- Financial transaction flows, wallets, accounts, ledgers
- Payment switching, merchant acquiring, integrations
- API gateways (SOAP/REST), microservices architecture
- Linux/Unix environments, Gauss DB

·         Experience with capacity planning, high-availability systems, failover, DR setups

·         Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native platforms is desirable

·         Strong troubleshooting skills with logs, traces, transaction dumps, and system-level debugging

·         Understanding of SBP (State Bank of Pakistan) regulations, EMIs, mobile wallet compliance frameworks

·         Familiarity with DevOps workflows (CI/CD, Git, automation tools) is a plus

·         Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecom, or related field
