What is Expert Data Center Infra?

Expert Data Center Infra role is reporting to Manager Data Center Infra. In this position, you will be playing a vital role for planning, designing, and expanding data center infrastructure to meet business growth, modernization, and operational excellence objectives.

What does Expert Data Center Infra do?

Capacity Planning & Expansion

• Lead data canter capacity expansion in alignment with business growth forecasts
• Develop scalable facility designs to support future IT load requirements
• Ensure optimal space, power, and cooling utilization

Modernization & EOL Management

• Identify and replace End-of-Life (EOL) facility equipment
• Drive modernization initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability
• Upgrade power, cooling, and infrastructure systems to industry standards

Business Case Development

• Prepare detailed technical and financial business cases for expansion and modernization projects
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis, ROI evaluation, and risk assessments
• Present proposals to executive leadership for approval

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal enterprise teams (IT, Network, Core, Finance)
• Engage external customers/end users to design customized data canter facility solutions
• Align facility design with application, AI, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure requirements

Design & Engineering Leadership

• Develop data canter facility design standards and best practices
• Ensure compliance with Rated/Tier standards, regulatory requirements, and safety norms
• Review and approve engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications

DCIM Implementation

• Lead implementation and optimization of Data Canter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools
• Enable real-time monitoring of power, cooling, capacity, and environmental parameters
• Utilize analytics for predictive planning and reporting

Automation & Process Optimization

• Automate data centre operational and reporting processes
• Improve monitoring, capacity management, and incident response workflow
• Integrate smart infrastructure solutions to enhance efficiency

Operational Excellence Initiatives

• Work closely with operations teams to drive reliability and uptime improvements
• Support energy efficiency programs (PUE optimization)

Risk & Compliance Management

• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and business continuity compliance
• Support audits, disaster recovery planning, and resilience testing

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Data Center Infra?

• Bachelor's in (Electrical/Power/Telecom/Electronics or Relevant) from a reputable university
• 6+ Year of Experience in Data centre Design
• Data Centre Design Certifications from Uptime/TIA-942
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
