Job Purpose
Drive enterprise risk, resilience, sustainability and safety systems governance aligned to strategies and directions to ensure successful enhancement and implementation of risk-based systems in the Authority based on the best international practices. Advise on the implementation of critical initiatives and projects supporting excellence and update requirements as necessary following a riskbased approach.
Roles and Responsibilities Accountabilities:
Strategy
Formulate strategies and development plans for the Department in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare strategic objectives and performance measures for all areas related to management and monitor trends.
Provide expert advice on the development of risk-based governance frameworks, operational systems, policies and plans.
Provide advice and guidance to the Department Management and the Sections responsible for implementing risk-based models.
Identify current and potential pioneering positions in risk-based systems to keep and enhance Authority in global leadership.
Propose and advice on implementing initiatives that contribute to continuous development with a risk-based approach.
Conduct horizon scanning and provide advice to management on emerging trends and practices that can be adopted in the Authority.
Operations
Manage crisis, emergency, and accident response as advised by the Management.
Participate in accident investigation and crisis management, in collaboration with respective Team in the Department.
Provide necessary support and advice to committees and teams and following up on results.
Enforce railway safety regulations and oversight under Law 1/2017 as assigned as per the assigned role of Judicial Control Officer.
Conduct non-disclosed safety-critical site inspections and audits as per special assignments.
Provide support external tasks assigned to the department and support accomplishment as needed.
Review technical and periodic reports raised from Sections and validate the contents and quality as per the standards.
Conduct compliance audits, assessments and inspections against the requirements of established policies and processes and raise reports to Management.
Mentor and develop potential National talents on Risk, Crisis and Safety areas.
Product/Process Improvement
Monitor and track performance across the Sections and advise on policy, process and system enhancements.
Review data analysis reports from Sections and advise on areas of improvements.
Physical Working Conditions
Ensure round-the-clock readiness for crisis, emergency and accident management, including off-hours planning, activation, and on-site presence as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering
12+ years in case of Master’s degree (14+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree)
