Export / International Sales Executive

Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Department: International Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Export Sales Manager / Head of Sales

Mission

To develop and expand international business opportunities for the company's date products by identifying new markets, managing overseas customers and distributors, and achieving export sales targets. The role is responsible for building long-term B2B relationships, driving revenue growth, coordinating export operations, and strengthening the company's presence in international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new international markets, distributors, importers, wholesalers, and B2B customers for date products.
  • Generate export sales opportunities through market research, lead generation, networking, and business development activities.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure and customer retention.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and trading partners.
  • Prepare and present product proposals, quotations, pricing structures, and commercial offers to prospective customers.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer requirements, competitive activities, and growth opportunities.
  • Achieve assigned export sales targets and contribute to overall business growth objectives.
  • Coordinate with production, planning, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries, quotations, negotiations, and order execution activities.
  • Participate in international trade exhibitions, virtual meetings, and business development initiatives to promote products and generate leads.
  • Support distributor onboarding, market development plans, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Monitor customer performance and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling product ranges.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline opportunities.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, market intelligence reports, and export performance updates for management.
  • Ensure compliance with export documentation requirements, customer specifications, and international trade regulations.
  • Coordinate with logistics and export documentation teams to facilitate smooth shipment execution.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve commercial issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop market-specific strategies to increase product penetration and brand visibility.
  • Contribute to annual sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Stay updated on international food industry trends, import regulations, and target market developments.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management related to international sales and business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Export Management, International Trade, or Sales Management will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in Export Sales, International Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is mandatory.
  • Prior experience selling FMCG, food products, packaged foods, agricultural products, consumer goods, or retail-focused products in international markets is preferred.
  • Experience dealing with distributors, importers, wholesalers, retail chains, or B2B customers across international markets.
  • Exposure to GCC, Middle East, Africa, Europe, or other export markets will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of export processes, international trade documentation, and logistics coordination.
