Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end documentation for export and import shipments (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and transport companies for timely shipments.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and customs records.
- Negotiate freight rates with service providers to optimize costs.
- Liaise with suppliers, buyers, and internal teams to meet delivery schedules.
- Monitor shipment tracking and resolve any shipping or customs clearance issues.
- Manage letters of credit (LCs), payment terms, and banking documentation for international trade.
- Ensure accurate reporting of export/import activities to management.
- Stay updated with changes in international trade policies, Incoterms, and HS codes.
- Coordinate insurance for shipments and handle claims in case of damages or losses.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in export/import operations or logistics.
- Knowledge of customs procedures, documentation, and international shipping regulations.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and trade finance instruments (LC, TT, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
