Exports Director

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Market Development

  • Develop and implement the global export strategy in line with Camelicious’ overall growth objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize international markets with high potential for camel milk and dairy-based products.
  • Build and manage relationships with international distributors, key accounts, trade partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements in international markets.
  • Ensure strong brand positioning and compliance with cultural, dietary, and regulatory requirements in each market.

Commercial & Operational Management

  • Drive annual export sales targets and profitability, ensuring sustainable business growth.
  • Manage the full export cycle including logistics, documentation, customs clearance, and international trade compliance.
  • Oversee pricing models, margin management, and forex risk associated with exports.
  • Coordinate closely with production, supply chain, quality, and finance teams to ensure product availability, compliance, and timely delivery.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, food safety standards, and certifications (Halal, ISO, HACCP, etc.).
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes across target markets (import requirements, tariffs, labeling standards).
  • Partner with quality and R&D to ensure product specifications meet local and international standards.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing export sales team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity.
  • Represent Camelicious at international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry forums.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in exports/business development in the food & beverage manufacturing industry (mandatory), with strong preference for dairy sector expertise.
  • Proven track record in driving international sales and distribution networks across multiple regions (UK, USA, China, Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa).
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, logistics, and export documentation.
  • Experience in negotiating high-value contracts and managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.

  • Deep knowledge of food & beverage (dairy preferred) industry dynamics.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced international markets.
  • Multilingual skills (Arabic, Mandarin, or European languages) a plus.
