Business Development Manager -Land Freight

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) with a strong portfolio in land freight (local UAE and cross-border GCC operations). The role involves generating new clients, building long-term business relationships, and developing land freight services. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of UAE logistics processes, customs regulations, and cross-border procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition & Growth
  • Generate new clients for land freight services (FTL, LTL, and cross-border).
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of strong client relationships across industries.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s market share in UAE and GCC.
  • Business Development & Sales
  • Achieve sales targets and revenue goals through effective business development strategies.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure contracts.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and service agreements in line with company policies.
  • Market & Process Knowledge
  • Stay updated on UAE customs clearance processes, RTA regulations, free zone operations, and GCC cross-border procedures.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies to stay competitive.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in service offerings to meet market demand.
  • Relationship Management
  • Build long-term partnerships with clients by providing excellent service and support.
  • Liaise with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
  • Address client concerns, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Strategy
  • Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.
  • Contribute to business development strategies for growth in the UAE and GCC land freight market.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for clients and leads.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 4–6 years of proven experience in land freight business development within the UAE and GCC.
  • Strong client portfolio with existing connections in industries that rely on land transport.
  • Deep knowledge of UAE logistics processes, customs clearance, cross-border documentation, and transport regulations.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Strong networking ability with established industry contacts.
  • Good understanding of FTL, LTL, project cargo, and fleet management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Ability to work independently with result-oriented mindset.
  • UAE driving license is mandatory.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of new clients generated per quarter
  • Revenue growth from land freight services
  • Client retention and satisfaction rate
  • Market share growth in UAE & GCC land freight
  • Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets

Valid UAE License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,500.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
