About the Role

AZ Advisory Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced External Audit Manager who is fluent in Arabic and English, has a strong background with a Big Four firm, and embodies professionalism, flexibility, and strong character. The ideal candidate is client-focused, proactive, and capable of leading audit teams while supporting business development and internal collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Audit & Technical Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage external audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits in accordance with IFRS, ISA, and UAE regulatory standards.
  • Review audit documentation, working papers, and financial statements to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Prepare audit reports, management letters, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technical standards.

Client Management & Business Development

  • Build and expand client relationships, contributing to new client acquisition and business growth.
  • Actively participate in business development initiatives, proposals, and presentations.
  • Maintain consistent follow-ups related to client collections, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.
  • Provide exceptional communication, support, and service to clients, addressing issues promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise, train, and mentor audit team members, promoting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (Tax, Advisory, Finance, Administration) and provide assistance when needed to support firm-wide objectives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in taking on additional tasks, responsibilities, and cross-functional assignments.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CA, SOCPA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of external audit experience, including experience working with a Big Four firm.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Managing audit teams
  • Conducting multiple simultaneous engagements
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting new client acquisition
  • Following up on client collections
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and UAE regulatory environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
