The Opportunity

We're growing and looking for experienced strategy consultants to join our Deals Strategy team in Sydney or Melbourne.

• Be part of a team trusted by CEOs, boards, and investors for over 30 years.
• Work with leading private equity firms across the full investment lifecycle-from diligence and value creation to strategic transformation.
• Lead small, agile teams to deliver high-impact insights and solutions that drive real results.

This is a hybrid role based in either Warrang - Sydney or Naarm - Melbourne.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Associate (Senior Manager), you'll play a pivotal role in delivering strategic outcomes for our clients.

• Lead teams of 3-5 consultants on commercial due diligence, exit support, and portfolio company strategy.
• Manage day-to-day project execution and ensure timely delivery of client requirements.
• Facilitate client meetings and present findings that influence major investment decisions.
• Collaborate with EY-Parthenon and client teams, bringing your expertise to guide engagements.
• Provide intellectual leadership by shaping frameworks, guiding research, and generating insights.
• Build trust-based relationships with clients and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Skills and attributes for success

We're seeking someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments and brings a strategic mindset to every challenge.

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree with a strong academic record.
• 5-6 years of experience in strategy consulting, private equity, or corporate finance.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and deliver complex projects.
• Strong analytical skills and a knack for solving problems through quantitative thinking.
• Collaborative, ethical, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
• Passion for continuous growth and professional development.

Ideally, you'll also have the skills and attributes below but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes. We're interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

• Background in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity-backed companies.
• Exposure to transactions and investment lifecycle activities.
• Ability to influence client agendas and navigate stakeholder networks.
