Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is looking to appoint an outstanding EYFS Teacher to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.
Nord Anglia International School Al Khor (NAISAK) is a 3-18 through school with over 1,350 pupils currently on roll. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) currently comprises 7 classes across FS1 and FS2, serving approximately 135 children aged 3-5. We are excited to announce plans to open a new, purpose-built EYFS unit with 8 classrooms for the next academic year, enhancing our capacity to provide an exceptional learning environment. Our EYFS curriculum incorporates ‘In the Moment’ planning, supporting students in reaching Early Learning Goals through an engaging, bespoke approach that emphasizes language development and essential skills. We track progress through the use of ‘Focus Children’ and regular communication between the EY team and parents.
Our school resides in the town of Al Khor, 35 minutes north of Doha (the capital of Qatar). As part of our curriculum, we also meet the requirement of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education by delivering an Arabic and Islamic programme that is taught by a team of dedicated, specialist teachers.

Job Responsibilities
Learning and Teaching
- To promote the ‘mission’ and philosophy of the school, ensuring that children are working towards being truly bilingual international citizens.
- To ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting are of the highest quality and meet the varying learning and social needs of children.
- To be flexible and adjust to the needs of the school, actively contributing to its development plans and growth.
- Implement agreed policies and developments.
- To demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge, teach and assess effectively.
- Use the student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities.
- To take personal responsibility for professional development.
- To effectively communicate the school’s narrative, being an ambassador for our school at all times.

JD – NAISAK EYFS Teacher
Personal Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or degree plus PGCE/QTS
- Proven track record and two years of teaching experience
- Teaching within International Schools
- Good working knowledge of the Early Years Statutory Framework and UK National Curriculum
- Good classroom practice and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and to work on own initiative
- Range of teaching experience across different year groups
- Integrated technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of students
- Successfully teach students using technology in virtual/hybrid environment
- Experience in leading meetings or INSET sessions
Selection Process
