Job Responsibilities – EYP Teacher (IB School)
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver play-based, inquiry-led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years philosophy
- Support children’s holistic development: social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language
- Foster curiosity, creativity, independence, and problem-solving through purposeful play
- Use differentiated instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Integrate literacy, numeracy, and life skills naturally into daily learning experiences
IB PYP & Curriculum Implementation
- Implement the IB PYP framework, including transdisciplinary learning
- Promote and model the IB Learner Profile attributes and attitudes
- Design learning experiences connected to the six transdisciplinary themes
- Encourage student agency, choice, and voice in learning
- Support inquiry through exploration, questioning, and reflection
Assessment & Documentation
- Observe, assess, and document learning using formative assessment strategies
- Maintain learning portfolios, anecdotal records, and observations
- Use assessment data to inform planning and next steps
- Prepare progress reports aligned with IB and school guidelines
Classroom Environment
- Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Organize learning spaces that promote collaboration, exploration, and independence
- Establish consistent routines and positive behavior guidance
- Support children’s well-being, emotional regulation, and social skills
Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with PYP coordinators, co-teachers, teaching assistants, and specialists
- Participate in curriculum planning, reflection, and moderation meetings
- Engage in IB professional development and reflective practice
- Contribute to school initiatives, events, and accreditation processes
Parent & Community Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers
- Communicate regularly about children’s learning and development
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and workshops
- Encourage family involvement in the learning community
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
