About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and technically sound Fabric & Cutting Incharge / Lead to lead our cutting department. As a leading manufacturer of high-quality workwear and safety apparel, we rely on precision and efficiency from the very first step of production. You will be responsible for overseeing all fabric-related activities—from inspection and lay planning to marker efficiency and the timely supply of cut panels to the sewing lines. This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who understands that quality workwear starts with an optimized cutting room .

Key Responsibilities:

• Cutting Operations Management: Plan daily cutting schedules based on production priorities. Supervise the entire fabric spreading, layering, and cutting process for woven workwear fabrics to ensure accuracy and minimize waste .
• Fabric & Marker Efficiency: Check fabric consumption, marker plans, and shrinkage allowances. Coordinate with the pattern master to ensure markers are fully optimized for maximum fabric utilization .
• Quality Control: Conduct pre-production checks on fabric quality, defects, and shade bands. Ensure compliance with size ratios, buyer specifications, and quality standards for all cut panels .
• Inventory & Supply Chain: Manage fabric inventory and issuing, ensuring correct quantities are allocated to orders. Ensure cut panels are properly bundled, numbered, and issued to the sewing lines without delay .
• Team Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise cutting staff, operators, and helpers. Implement and enforce safety norms and 5S practices within the cutting section .
• Reporting & Coordination: Maintain cutting reports, fabric utilization records, and wastage analysis. Liaise with the production, planning, and merchandising departments for smooth workflow .

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Cutting Incharge or Senior Cutting Supervisor role, specifically within a garment manufacturing environment. Experience in workwear, PPE, or industrial clothing is a significant advantage .
• Technical Knowledge (Mandatory):
• In-depth knowledge of various woven fabrics (e.g., cotton drill, canvas, flame-retardant materials) and their properties (shrinkage, grain).
• Expertise in lay planning, marker making, and cutting techniques (both manual and computerized).
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and patterns .
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Garment Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software/ERP, strong leadership, excellent analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Location: Must be willing to work at our facility in the Landhi / Export Processing Zone or reside nearby.
