Job Summary

The Fabric Purchase Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing the company's overall procurement strategy across all fashion and lifestyle categories. This includes end-to-end vendor management, stock planning, cost optimization, and aligning inventory with business objectives such as margin targets, seasonal calendars, and customer preferences.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, or Retail Management; MBA preferred
  • 10 years of retail/fashion procurement experience with category-specific buying (Women'swear, )
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a purchase manager in a reputed multi-store retail chain
  • Proven ability to manage BNS (Buy & Sell), SOR (Sale or Return), and SAS (Sell and Settle) procurement models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Navision), and purchase planning tools
  • Skilled in OTB (Open-to-Buy) planning, stock turnover control, aging analysis, and sell-through optimization
  • Experience in pricing strategy, discounting models, and seasonal merchandise planning
  • Strong track record of vendor development, onboarding, and relationship management across India
  • Experience in managing multi-city, multi-format procurement operations
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and monitor Category Purchase Managers & teams
  • Skilled in setting KPIs, incentive structures, and performance monitoring systems
  • Fluency in English & Hindi; knowledge of Telugu is an added advantage
  • Business-to-Customer (B2C) retail experience is mandatory

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement strategy and execution across Womenswear (Chudidhar)
  • Develop seasonal and monthly purchase plans aligned with sales targets and budgets
  • Own and monitor margins, sell-through, stock turnover, stock aging, and KPIs
  • Implement and standardize procurement models (BNS, SOR, SAS) as per category needs
  • Build and maintain strong vendor networks across India; negotiate favorable terms
  • Good business sense with strong skills in managing margins, negotiating with vendors, and reducing costs.
  • Collaborate with Retail, Planning, Finance, and Merchandising teams for stock flow and demand planning
  • Approve and oversee vendor onboarding, product assortment, and replenishment cycles
  • Ensure documentation & compliance: rate agreements, POs, GRNs, settlements
  • Coordinate with Visual Merchandising & Marketing for campaigns and promotional buys
  • Present monthly dashboards on stock health, procurement insights, and gaps to leadership
  • Drive process improvements to optimize timelines, costs, and vendor SLAs
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the procurement/purchase team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
